Good morning + happy last few days of February. Without fail this month is always mentally challenging for me, no matter how good/bad January was. I’m looking forward to plenty of things in March, and can’t say I’m too sad to wrap this month up. Currently I’m sick in bed typing this, but hoping to feel better tomorrow.
Last month my goal was to purchase 3 items, and I *almost* made it. I ended up purchasing 4 items in February, but am happy to report I also sold 4 items, so no complaints over here. Two items I purchased were technically replacement; I sold my leopard ankle boots and bought a pair with a lower heel (#oldlady) and purchased a better fitting plaid blazer from Old Navy. (My other plaid blazer is in great shape, but my shoulders are too broad – if you’re interested you can find it on Poshmark here!)
My third item is this “Don’t Be Trashy” tee from an awesome company called Keep Nature Wild (that my friend Hollen introduced me to).
Keep Nature Wild is based out of Arizona, and for every product sold they pick up 1lb of litter. If you know me, you know exactly how much I love this. (I pick up litter daily)
My mom thinks its gross (sorry mom!) but I cannot leave it there. Probably should start carrying gloves around. I digress…
Lastly, I managed to find a dress I wanted last summer on Poshmark for 33% of the original price! I loved the dRA Jeremy dress when I first saw it on Ashley (of Everyday Pursuits), but didn’t love the $178 price tag for a linen dress. I keep a shopping wishlist on my phone to help keep me from impulse purchases, so I was ecstatic when I found this sold out dress on Poshmark. The dress is one size too big and I will be dropping it off at the tailor this weekend. I am a huge proponent of tailoring, especially since I’m short + have wider lats/shoulders than the average female my size.
Between our trip to Mexico at the end of March, daily wear and the 3 weddings I have this summer, I’m sure this dress will get plenty of love. I’m also very happy I found it on Poshmark, as I would like to do a better job of shopping resale this year!
That’s all for today! As always, thanks so much for stopping by. If you’re also doing closet recaps let me know, I’d love to check them out!
xo, Maddy
