Welcome back to advice from a stylist, where I give you tips and tricks and teach you what you need to know to creative a versatile and functional closet that you actually love and wear. (Which is our goal)
Today we’re talking about something that I feel many people get hung up on when putting together outfits and that is…making sure things “match.”
My thoughts on that?
This is something that I’ve been telling my mom for at least a decade, and am proud to report she has put it into play with her own personal style.
The shades of green in the pattern of your top don’t have to PERFECTLY match the green of your shoes. The tan leather of the purse doesn’t have to perfectly match your skirt. We want to work to find pieces that GO and stress a lot less about perfectly matching.
And guess what? Style is individual, it’s for you. Even if it doesn’t “go,” but you like it, you can wear it.
So, do not feel the need to stress about finding perfectly matching colors for outfits and remember…it simply has to go!
